There are 245,000 blind people in Liaoning province. Half of them are caused by cataract. 40% of them know that an operation could give them sight, but they can not afford an operation because of poorness.
He Eye Hospital is grappling with the problem of blindness in China.
From 2005 on ICS is continuously helping poor blind people in collaboration with
“Vision Care Foundation”. The operations were done in the He Eye Hospital. ICS helped
little children, young people and many adults with cataract.
